Frequently asked questions

What is an arbitrage bet?+

An arb is a set of bets covering every outcome of a market at different books, priced so the combined implied probability is under 100%. Whatever happens, you collect more than you staked.

How does the calculator work?+

We convert each leg's odds to an implied probability and add them up. If the total is under 100%, an arb exists, and the profit is 1 divided by that total, minus 1. Your bankroll is then split proportionally so every outcome returns the same amount.

How are the stakes allocated?+

Each leg's stake is its share of the combined implied probability. Bigger favorites get bigger stakes, so the payout is identical no matter which side wins.

Is arbitrage betting allowed?+

Arbing is legal, but sportsbooks do not like it. Accounts that arb frequently often get limited or restricted, so most arbers spread action across many books and keep stakes reasonable.
