The Best Arbitrage Software

What arbitrage betting is, how the math works, and why AVO is our top software choice for finding and executing arbs.

Two sportsbook odds screens showing a profitable arbitrage opportunity

Arbitrage betting is built around price differences, not predictions. When sportsbooks disagree enough on the odds for opposite outcomes, you can sometimes bet every possible result and structure the stakes so the total payout is greater than the total amount wagered.

The math is straightforward. Finding the opportunity and placing every side before the prices move is the hard part. That is where dedicated arbitrage software matters, and AVO is our top choice for bettors who want an all-in-one platform for discovering and executing arbs.

What is arbitrage betting?

Sportsbooks set their own prices and do not always update at the same time. One book may offer a strong price on Team A while another offers a strong price on Team B. If those two prices are far enough apart, their combined implied probability falls below 100%. That gap is the arbitrage margin.

Arb exists when: implied probability of Side A + implied probability of Side B < 100%

A simple arbitrage example

Imagine Sportsbook A offers Team A at +110 and Sportsbook B offers Team B at +110 in a two-outcome market. You place $100 on each side, risking $200 in total.

Total staked

$200

Either payout

$210

Projected profit

$10

Whichever team wins, the winning ticket returns $210. After subtracting the $200 total stake, the projected profit is $10, or 5%. Real markets often require unequal stakes, which is why an arbitrage calculator is essential.

Why arbitrage software matters

An arb can disappear in seconds. Checking sportsbook after sportsbook by hand, converting each price, testing the combined probability, and calculating both stakes is usually too slow. Software monitors many markets simultaneously and surfaces the combinations that meet your profit requirements.

Good arbitrage software should do more than show two odds. It should identify the exact event and market, calculate how much to place on every side, update quickly when prices change, and help you react if one of the original bets is no longer available.

Why we recommend AVO

AVO scans prices across a wide range of sportsbooks and puts the available opportunities in one dashboard. It calculates stake sizes, displays the expected return, and gives you the information needed to move from finding an arb to placing it quickly.

What you need before you start

  • Accounts at multiple supported sportsbooks, since the best prices will rarely be available at one book.
  • Funds distributed across those books so both sides can be placed before the opportunity disappears.
  • A consistent process for confirming the event, market, rules, odds, and stake before submitting each bet.
  • Accurate records that include every leg, void, fee, limit, and adjustment.

Is arbitrage really risk-free?

A correctly priced and fully executed arb removes the risk of predicting the winner: every covered outcome produces a projected profit. That does not make the process completely risk-free. Odds can move after the first bet, the second stake can be limited or rejected, markets can use different settlement rules, and a sportsbook can void one side.

Account limits, withdrawals, palpable-error rules, fees, and human mistakes also matter. Arbitrage is one of the lowest-variance approaches to sports betting when executed correctly, but the practical risks must be managed every time.
